WordPress Plugin — install and configure CooVex on WordPress

The CooVex WordPress plugin installs the website embed, enables the AI chatbot, and syncs your content with the Content Calendar — all with no code.

The CooVex WordPress plugin is the easiest way to connect your WordPress site to CooVex. It installs the website embed script, enables the AI chatbot on your site, syncs your blog content to the Content Calendar, and automatically publishes your llms.txt file — all without touching a line of code.

Installing the plugin

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for “CooVex”
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate
  4. Go to Settings → CooVex in your WordPress admin
  5. Paste your CooVex API key (found in Settings → Integrations → WordPress in CooVex)
  6. Click Connect

The plugin activates immediately. You will see a confirmation in both WordPress and CooVex.

What the plugin does

Website embed

Automatically injects the CooVex embed script into every page of your site. This enables:

  • Visitor tracking (which pages leads visit before converting)
  • Lead behavior signals (pricing page visits, repeated visits)
  • Chatbot widget (if enabled)

AI Chatbot

Enable the chatbot from the plugin settings page. Choose which pages to show it on (all pages, or specific pages), set the initial greeting, and configure lead capture fields. No separate embed code needed.

Content sync

When content sync is enabled, newly published WordPress posts automatically appear in the CooVex Content Calendar as Published. This keeps your content tracking accurate without manual updates.

llms.txt auto-publishing

The plugin generates and serves your llms.txt file at yourdomain.com/llms.txt automatically. It regenerates when your content changes significantly. See: llms.txt guide.

SEO checks integration

The plugin adds a CooVex panel to the WordPress post editor that shows the SEO score, meta tag status, and structured data status for the post you are editing — inline, without leaving WordPress.

Troubleshooting

Plugin shows “Connection failed”

Check that your API key is correct and that your WordPress site can make outbound HTTPS requests. Some hosting providers block outbound connections by default — contact your host to whitelist api.coovex.com.

Chatbot not appearing

Make sure the chatbot is enabled in both the WordPress plugin settings and in the CooVex Agent → AI Chatbot section. Also check that no caching plugin is serving a cached version of the page without the embed script.
